Epiphanie Camera Bags {MCO's 2nd Birthday Bash!}

*Mommys Craft Obsession received a complimentary Epiphanie Bag in exchange for her honest thoughts and opinions*

MCO's Birthday Bash is kicking off our celebration with an amazing giveaway for WINNERS CHOICE of Camera Bag from Epiphanie!
It's that time of year again and we're celebrating MCO's 2nd blog-birthday! Mommys Craft Obsession started in May 2012 and their birthday bash has become their most anticipated event of the year! We are so glad that you could join us for this event! Today is the first day of this great event, but we highly recommend that you bookmark the open giveaway page by clicking on the link below then adding it to your bookmarks bar! During the next week you will have the chance to enter to win some amazing prizes from items for YOU and things for your little one!

Epiphanie Bags was created four years ago by a professional photographer, Malie Wilson. She created Epiphanie after realizing that there were no cute camera bags for women! She hated carrying around a separate (and unattractive) bag on photo shoots and would end up covering her camera with whatever article of clothing was nearby and sticking it in her purse. Realizing enough was enough, she launched Epiphanie in 2009 with a list of 10,000 other photographers that were anxious to get their hands on one of these fabulous camera bags.

When it comes to stylish bags, I like to think that I have a radar for them. Whether they be purses, totes, diaper bags, or camera bags, my heart does a little pitter patter whenever my eyes come into contact with one.

My mom was blessed with some amazing photography skills and began exploring them when she was just a child. Luckily for me (and of course the community in which she lives) she turned her photography from a hobby into a small business a few years ago and started photographing portraits, newborns, weddings, and much more. When she started out, her camera was always lugged around in a hideous black camera bag and I couldn't help but roll my eyes every time she took it on a photo shoot. It literally pained me. When she discovered Epiphanie Camera Bags and introduced me to them, I was taken with how beautiful and stylish they were and I knew that my mother deserved at least one of their gorgeous bags. That Christmas, my dad and I went in together and bought her two! My lucky momma received a Lola and a Clover that year and she has loved them to pieces since! To be honest, I've always been pretty jealous of those beauties, I especially love the look of the Clover!

Knowing that my mom now treasured her camera bags like I treasure my diaper bags, I was thrilled for the privilege to work with Epiphanie during the holidays on a review of their amazing Madison bag and my mom was over the moon when I surprised her with it! Knowing my moms love for her Epiphanie bags and my fondness of their fantastic company, I reached out again to see if they would like to be apart of our BIRTHDAY BASH so that I could give my lovely readers the chance to win one of their bags again, and I was giddy with excitement when I given the opportunity to review another beautiful bag. I shopped the website and found a bag that I knew my mom would love for Mother's Day - the Lyric bag in Brown!

First off, how gorgeous is this bag? The color is such a rich milk chocolate brown! What I really loved off first impression of this bag was that Lyric is an amazing size. It's not to big and the organization is just right! As simple as the design is, the braided texture of the shoulder strap and the tassels that hang form the front pockets give this bag a stylish bohemian feel, while the silver hardware adds just the right amount of 'flash' and class!

There are two zippered pockets located on the front of the Lyric bag which are the perfect size for small items such as your cell phone, keys, or even a pack of gum or breath mints. I love that they are zippered rather than magnetic or even a simple front flap because knowing from watching my mom so many times, photographers and moms alike are constantly on the move and positioning their bodies in different angles to get the perfect shot; the zipper allows them to have piece of mind that their valuables and belongings aren't going to fall from the pockets as they adjust angles!

The back of this bag also features a large zippered pocket that can easily hold a small tablet or planner, or whatever else you may need to bring with you! The back pocket is also a fabulous place to keep your wallet so that you don't risk scratching your camera if you're using this bag as both a camera bag and purse!

Being a mom I know that carrying options for any bag that I'm carrying is a must - you never know when you may need to switch from a shoulder bag to a messenger carry, or even a backpack! What I love about the Lyric bag is that Epiphanie has included a separate messenger strap so that you can easily change your bag from a shoulder bag to a messenger. The messenger strap has a comfortable shoulder pad which allows for easy carrying while on the go. This is a great option for us moms who may be carrying the bag while chasing a toddler at the park!

So lets get to the most important part of this bag! The inside camera organization! In true Epiphanie fashion, their bags are lined with a soft padded lining that protects your camera and its accessories while they are in your bag. There are three panels that can be easily moved around inside of the bag due to their Velcro siding. Having the panels be adjustable is something that my mom says that she absolutely loves because then she can position her camera comfortably and still adjust accordingly if she is bringing an extra lens. There is also an inside pocket which is perfect for holding extra memory cards batteries or battery packs, and even miscellaneous items like your sunglasses!

My mom couldn't be happier with the size and quality of her beautiful new Lyric bag! It holds everything that she needs to attend a photo shoot without having to bring any extra baggage such as her purse! She recently had a portrait shoot for a local insurance agent and packed everything she needed - her camera with lens, an extra lens, flash, batteries and battery pack, her cell phone, wallet, sunglasses, and keys! She said that the bag sat comfortably on her shoulder as she was with her client and she loved that as she adjusted her angles and the bag moved, she knew nothing would fall out since it was all zipped securely! She also mentioned that the size of the Lyric is perfect for bringing to family parties and social events where she may want to use her camera but would prefer not to carry a bag as large as her gorgeous Madison, Clover, or Lola. According to my momma, "Lyric is the perfect size for everyday needs! When I leave the house it doesn't even feel like I'm carrying a bag made for a camera since it's the same size as a purse I would normally carry, and I love the option of having my camera there if see the perfect opportunity for a photo".

Isn't my mom beautiful with her Lyric Epiphanie Bag!

Whether you're a mom who loves to snap pictures, a professional photographer, or just a woman who loves a stylish and functional camera bag, Epiphanie is the company for you! The bag styles and color choices are plentiful and the quality of their camera bags unbeatable! Both my mom and I love this company and are thrilled with their quality, functionality, style, and customer service!

  1. Hi. Your link to the easy entry page doesn't work. Also, the link to Epiphanie's twitter is wrong.

I'd love the Red Lola bag. Thank you!

  6. I love all of the storage areas but I especially love the velcro dividers so you can move them to fit your needs!

  7. Epiphanie really does have the most sumptuous bags. How gorgeous is the Lola in Caramel? I also adore the Stella in Plum and that one can take out the inserts and use it as a regular bag. Thanks for all the fantastic pictures. They really make the bag come alive. They should add these to the ones on the website. ;)

  13. Lola in Caramel would be my pick.

  14. I like that the bag can be used for more than just the camera. I would not like carrying a camera bag and a purse. I would love to just use one of these in place of my purse and so that my camera is protected by the awesome padding. They are so stylish also.

  15. I like the Ginger best but my favorite colors aren't available, I'll just pretend and say the Ginger in red, for fun. haha

  16. I love that you can swap out the strap and that it isn't just a long one and two shorter ones, my current old sad purse (which I wouldn't trust with my camera...) has it that way and it annoys me to have the short set get in the way when using the shoulder strap etc.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I love that you can move the panels around to your liking and that they can be removed all together to turn it into a regular purse.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I might choose the Ginger - Grey bag!

  19. My favorite part of this bag is the camera organization! I like that these bags are lined with a soft padded lining that protects my camera and its accessories while they are in my bag. I also like that there is an inside pocket which is perfect for holding extra memory cards batteries or battery packs. The styles and colors to choose from are so awesome!

  20. Madison in Teal or London in Navy Blue...cant decide!

  23. I like the Lyric bag in olive

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'd love the Austin bag in grey! I really like how stylish these bags are but that they will still protect all of your gear.

    ReplyDelete
  25. They are all so nice. I think I would choose the LOLA - Red. Thank you for the giveaway

    ReplyDelete
  26. I like that the dividers and padding can be moved around for personal customization. We all know that we don't all have the same sized cameras, lens, and other accessories.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I love the Sydney so you can use it as an over the shoulder or a backpack!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I love the London bag! Not sure what color though...Probably navy.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I like that the panels can be removed to make it just a regular bag. Makes it so functional!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'd love the Madison in Teal or Lola in Cobalt

    ReplyDelete
  31. My favorite parts of the bag are the removable dividers and that there is a zipper on top so things don't fall out. So often bigger bags don't have a zip top and it's such a pain when they tip

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thanks for the review. I had been trying to decide which one I want. I love the look of the Lyric from the start, but was concerned with the size, now I see that it is perfect for what I need. I like all the pockets and the adjustable panels inside. I think it is a beautiful bag.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I would want a Charlotte or London, get back to me ;)

    ReplyDelete
  35. My favorite part of the Lyric (aside from how pretty it is!) is the inside organization. It's very important to me to have everything set up just so - it makes it much easier to find everything. I really like the panels in the Lyric!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I love the braided strap and the adjustable panels inside the bag. I like so many of these bags.

    ReplyDelete

If I was to win, I'd want the Clover in Teal

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think its really cool that the Lyric bag has a separate messenger strap so that you can change your bag from a shoulder bag to a messenger

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would have to say my favorite part of this bag would have to be the multiple carrying options! I know, for me that is a much. I have two little boys, and some times just carrying everywhere in my hands doesn't work. Over the shoulder frees my hands when needed :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. I visited Epiphanie Bags and if I won, I would choose the Madison in Teal.

    ReplyDelete
  45. My favorite feature of the Epiphanie Bag is the removable panels. I carry different cameras and different accessories from time to time and I like that I can use the same bag to carry all of them.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I love that you can easily change your bag from a shoulder bag to a messenger. I best part is thought, I would have to say, is that you can move the dividers because they are velcroed in! I have a camera bag now in which you cant do that so some of my things flop around because they arent snuggled in. That is such a great feature!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thank you for a more in depth look at the Lyric bag. I think I need one of the larger bags but it's good to see the review because it gives much more detail than epiphanie does on their site.

  80. My favorite features of the bag are the adjustable shoulder strap, tons of room for your camera and accessories, its extremely stylish, and the zippers on the pockets. But, if I had to pick just one, it would be the amount of room.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I would love to have the Charlotte bag in Turquoise from Epiphanie. It would be wonderful to have a bag that is large enough to hold all of my photo equipment.
