My Fairytale Bridal Shower

Hey everyone! You may have noticed that the blog has been a little on the quiet side over the last several days since I have been away from my desk, enjoying the pre-wedding festivities that were planned in celebration of my upcoming marriage.

Pinterest has been a big inspiration in how I wanted my bridal shower and my wedding to look so when my bridal shower was transformed into the fairytale I had been dreaming of in my head, I was over the moon. From chalkboards to garland, sparkles to lace, my shower embodied everything that I had been dreaming of as my grandparents house was transformed into my own personal slice of girly heaven.

I am so excited to share some of these pictures with you, it's a little ridiculous. My shower was just yesterday afterall. I guess that just shows how much I love each and every one of you! So here we go :)

  8. Hi -

Beautiful pictures! I'd like to create the tulle covered balloons for a shower I'm hosting this Spring. Can you give me some instruction on how you did them? What type of balloons did you use?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Jamie,

Each balloon took approximately 2.5 yards to tulle to create the look we achieved. Go purchase regular Mylar balloons and ask that they be filled to the max! Have a seat and place the tulle across your lap then place the balloon upside down (so the string is upright) and gather the tulle around the balloon! Cut the remaining tulle (watch out for the balloon string) and then use a pretty ribbon to tie it together!!!

One thing I found is that the tulle does add weight to the balloon so you may have to use something such as tape to reinforce the balloon to your desired surface. Good luck!
