While we were at the cabin I had the pleasure of trying a few tasty treats that some of my family brought or made while we were there, and I will be sharing a few of my favorites with you. This is a recipe for a 4-chip cookie that my Granny made, I thought they were absolutely delicious and knew I had to get the recipe from her to share with you!
Ingredients:
1-cup butter softened
1-cup peanut butter
1-cup sugar
2/3-cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2-cups flour
1-cup old fashion oats
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3-cup milk chocolate chips
2/3-cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3-cup peanut butter chips
2/3-cup white chocolate chips
1/2-cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
Add butter, peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a mixing bowl and mix until it's nice and creamy about 1 minute.
Add eggs one at a time mixing after each one, then mix with mixer for 2 minutes on medium speed and beat in the vanilla.
In a separate bowl mix together flour, old fashion oats, baking soda, and salt.
Turn mixer to low speed and slowly add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, then turn the mixer to medium speed until mixed well.
Turn the mixer back to low and add in all of the chips and walnuts if you choose, and mix until combined.
Drop by teaspoonful onto an un-greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
Let cool on pan for 2 minutes before moving to a wire rack to finish cooling.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I did! Be sure to keep your eye out for my other Christmas cabin favorites!
