My Journey Into Fitness: Post #2


It's the first Friday in my journey into fitness and man am I sore! I worked out Tuesday (the start date), Wednesday, Thursday, and I intended on working out today as well but unfortunately I wasn't able to. Actually, I shouldn't say unfortunately because of instead of working out I was hanging out with Miss Daedra! When I woke up this morning I took my measurements and I'm not really sure what to think about them. I know that it was only 4 days into my journey into fitness, but I'm really more of an instant gratification person so not seeing results instantly is sort of a buzz kill.




Start Date: July 9th

Tuesday (7/9) Weight: 135.2
Tuesday (7/9) Belly Measurement: 37"

Friday (7/12) Weight: 136.2
Friday (7/12) Belly Measurement: 36"




Work Out Plan: Follow Jillian Michaels work out video "Ripped in 30" which features 5-6 work outs per week, each week increasing in intensity. 

So as you can see I gained a pound but I lost an inch, so I'm not really sure how that happened. I have a feeling that the pound gained was water weight and I'm not really sure about the inch lost, I'd like to think that I really did loose an inch but I have a sneaking hunch at one point I measured wrong? Not really sure, maybe it's just lack of confidence! Anyway, since I wasn't able to work out tonight I may do a double work out tomorrow (morning and evening) to make up for it. I'm pretty determined! =]

  1. Simple :-) You gained muscle and lost fat. Muscle is heavier and more lean than fat, thus making you tighter in measurement, but heavier on the scale. Just ditch the scale and choose to measure yourself the inches lost.
