After a long hard day of being ‘Mommy’ to three little ones, sometimes I just need to relax and remember that I am MORE than ‘Mommy.’ For me, grabbing a book and reading in the tub is the perfect way to unwind, although it doesn’t happen nearly as often as I would like.

When I am able to get away and relax, I like to do all that I can to make it really count. Recently, I found a great shop on Etsy called Ellison’s Organics. They specialize in organic beauty products, including an Organic Rose Petal Milk Bath that I was sent to try out. They also have specialty soaps for kids, salves, lip balms, bath salts, and lots more.  It’s all natural and organic!

What is so great about this product is that it has an ingredient list of only two items: certified organic rose petals and powdered milk. That’s it! There are no chemicals or anything else that can dry out the skin. The rose scent is wonderfully light and natural, without the cloyingly sweet smell of a manufactured and overly processed product.

The rose petal milk bath arrived sealed in a plastic bag, with a drawstring muslin bag (made in the U.S.A.!) inside. All I had to do was hang the bag on the faucet (so the water would run over it) and it scented my water and infused it with the moisturizing organic milk and rose petals.

I was surprised at the amount of bubbles this produces. My first thought was about how much my five year old little girl would love this! My second thought was much more selfish – it was about how much I would enjoy it. And I did!

Afterwards, my skin felt sosoft and smooth. My skin gets really dried out in the winter and spring, and this was a great remedy for it. I felt completely relaxed and ready to throw myself back into being ‘Mommy.’
