Rockin' Green's Femme Rock Review & Giveaway

So now that we've heard all about making the switch to Mama Cloth (if you missed yesterday's post click here to read it), it's time to learn how to properly wash it! When it comes to cloth diaper detergent, Rockin' Green is a household name, but did you also know that they make Mama Cloth Detergent as well? If you want to feel confident that your Mama Cloth is getting completely clean and sanitized, then Femme Rock is for you!

Femme Rock is Rockin' Green's cloth menstrual pad detergent that is fragrance free, phosphate free, and enzyme based so it will clean the toughest stains and keep your Mama Cloth looking fresh and new. Rockin' Green is very supportive of those who choose to use cloth and they make sure that they inform you of their support with every bag of Femme Rock you receive.

"For those that rock the cloth. We salute you!"

Why thank you Rockin' Green, those who use the cloth are pretty dang proud of doing so.

To wash your Mama Cloth, Rockin' Green recommends that you get your add 2 tablespoons of Femme Rock to your wash for normal washers, and 1 Tablespoon for HE machines. They also recommend that you do an extra rinse just to make sure that all of the detergent has been washed out and that it does not build up and effect the absorbency.

When I washed my Mama Cloth for the first time I was naturally worried about staining. Even though the tops of my Mama Cloth were dark colors, when you looked at them you could still clearly see that they had been used. I started the water on the washing machine, added my 2 tablespoons of Femme Rock, and then threw in my Mama Cloth. I put it on a regular wash cycle, did my extra rinse when it was time to, and by the time I went to transfer them to dryer they already looked great. When I was able to take them out of the dryer and closely inspect them I was thrilled to see that there was no staining, no odors, and the Mama Cloth looked just as fantastic as it did when I first received them.

If you're a cloth using Mama who wants the best detergent possible, I recommend that you pick up a bag of Femme Rock for your cloth menstrual pads. You trust Rockin' Green to get your diapers clean and sanitized  it's time to trust them to clean your Mama Cloth as well.
