I am excited that my lovely readers not only have the opportunity to read my review of this lovely lightweight stroller, but they have several other opinions that they can gather on the stroller as well! Now let me introduce you to our newest addition! The Summer Infant 3Dlite Convenience Stroller.
When our 3Dlite arrived in the beautiful Lime fashion I was excited to get it out of the box and set up for us to use on our walk to the park! Being that the 3Dlite is a lightweight stroller, I was anticipating a simple set up, but I was in for a real treat when the only set up required was popping the wheels on and attaching the sunshade!
The Summer Infant 3Dlite stroller has several great features that every parent will love. With a maximum [child] weight capacity of 50 pounds (plus an extra 10 in the storage basket!), the 3Dlite also offers a parent cupholder, non slip grips on the handle bars, a roomy basket, easy folding capabilities, quick recline for your sleepy little ones, a safe 5 point harness with an added fold down flap for comfort and so little fingers can't play with the buckle, a mommy pocket with a velcro seal, back wheel brakes, an easy lock/unlock sunshade (canopy), and even a carrying handle! With the ease and lightness of your typical umbrella stroller, the 3Dlite offers many qualities of a full size stroller!

On day one of touring our town with our 3Dlite Stroller, Little Mister and I set off on an adventure to the park. We have a walk-to-the-park routine where he walks there, and rides back, so I always bring a stroller with me for him to relax in on the walk back to our house, even though the park is maybe two blocks away, tops. When we headed out it was a beautiful sunny day and being that there was no little person in the stroller, the 3Dlite literally felt like I was pushing air.
A few days later we decided to visit our local deli to grab a bite to eat for lunch. I was hoping to be able to sit outside and eat so Little Mister hopped in the stroller and hung out while I ordered our food. Even while carrying the food I was able to maneuver the stroller (one handed!) to our table with no trouble! Little Mister ate happily in the seat of his 3Dlite!
Now as you can probably guess by the photo, we had to make a Hallmark run to grab some Father's Day cards to send off to the grandpa's, and to give one to Daddy on his special day! I was more than pleased to be able to push the 3Dlite through tight spaces in the store and to browse the card section while Little Mister peacefully kicked back in the stroller. With the help of a comfortable (I attribute that to the stroller!) Little Mister I was able to choose our Father's Day cards and get out of the store without any fuss or mini meltdown on his behalf.
Two times that the 3Dlite Stroller has truly been a lifesaver for us is for the two doctors appointments that we've had to go to in the last couple of weeks! Daddy got injured at work a couple months back and had his last follow up appointment with the specialist and it was so wonderful to have Little Mister contained to one spot while we were there. I really am not a fan of doctors office's and it gave me piece of mind knowing that he wasn't touching everything and running a muck during the visit! We also had to take Little Mister to the doctor for a pretty yucky cough and again, it was great that he wasn't touching everything in sight while we were in the waiting room! I also loved having the 3Dlite for those appointments because it is such a compact stroller, I had no trouble steering it through the hallways or parking it in a corner of the patient room while we waited to be seen.
One of Little Misters favorite places to take the 3Dlite was out to ice cream! It made a fabulous and comfortable seat for my happy little guy as he enjoyed his soft serve vanilla ice cream while we were out and about. He was even so excited about the ice cream that he pulled his arms out (with my help) of the shoulder straps so that he had more space to move his arms (because you need a ton of arm room to eat ice cream, didn't you know?).
Sometimes, mommy needs a break. A coffee break. To Starbucks. It's life simple pleasures that snap us out of our funks, wouldn't you agree? Mommy got to enjoy a wonderful decaf iced coffee while Little Mister chowed down on some pumpkin bread. Ahhhhh sweet silence (for about 2 minutes)!
Although we take our 3Dlite with us everywhere, my favorite use of the stroller is when daddy is pushing it. There is nothing I love more than seeing my two favorite guys enjoying the afternoon sun together. Mr. Hunky really liked that the strollers handle height was "just right" and that the grips were comfortable. He pushed the stroller with ease and in my opinion, looked pretty hunky while doing it!
Overall we have had a wonderful experience while using the 3Dlite Stroller, it is very versatile and is a breeze to push and maneuver. My only 'wish' for this stroller is that the sunshade was a little larger because living in the desert, that summer sun is awfully hot! Otherwise, the Summer Infant 3Dlite Stroller is a great option for parents who want the convenience of a lightweight "umbrella" stroller yet still are looking for some "full size stroller" perks!
