MCO's Birthday Bash is continuing our celebration with an amazing giveaway for a Boba 4G Carrier!
It's that time of year again and we're celebrating MCO's 2nd blog-birthday! Mommys Craft Obsession started in May 2012 and their birthday bash has become their most anticipated event of the year! We are so glad that you could join us for this event! We highly recommend that you bookmark the open giveaway page by clicking on the image below then adding it to your bookmarks bar! During the next week you will have the chance to enter to win some amazing prizes from items for YOU and things for your little one!
Boba began when two parents decided to leave their hometown of Bolder, CO, and travel the world with their two kids in tow. They took off with only a few personal belongings, a few thousand dollars, two backpacks, two kids, and a dream. They wanted to live their lives and experience freedom together. With an amazing idea and determination, the first Boba Wrap was sold out of rural Slovenia and before long the company had taken off. Starting the business was no easy task as the adventurous couple behind Boba traveled the world, but they made it happen and before long Boba turned into a well known and extremely popular brand of baby carriers.

Since my first opportunity working with Boba back in March of 2013, I instantly fell in love with the company, their message, and their products. I reviewed a Boba 3G carrier and all it took was one carry for me to instantly be hooked and ready to "hang up the towel" with the other carrier that I had. When I was offered to be apart of Boba's Ambassador team, I couldn't wait to accept.
When the announcement of the Boba 4G was released several months back, I was excited and knew that I would have loved to reviewed it, but by then my little guy was already two years old and was at the point that he was more interested in walking than being carried. When I learned that I was pregnant again, I began making a list of things that I needed for my newest little one and the Boba 4G was at the top of that list. One of the biggest upgrades that the Boba 4G received was the inclusion of a removable infant insert to make wearing your newborn/infant in a carrier possible! I was over the moon when Boba wanted to partner up for the Birthday Bash and couldn't wait to receive the new Boba 4G to test out!
I have had my eye on the Boba 4G in "Tweet" for quite some time so it was really no question of which print I was going to choose for the review - I just adore the bright colors and the cute birds on Tweet and love that it's completely gender neutral!
One of my favorite features of the Boba 4G is that it has hidden pockets! These pockets are located on the waistband of the carrier and are both perfect for stashing a few "mommy items" in while you're on the go with baby. The zipped pocket is a perfect fit for chapstick, cash, a credit card or two, and even a small pack of gum! The non zippered pocket is the perfect place to stash your phone, keys, or even a small coin purse!
The Boba 4G includes a hood that can be easily detached should you forgo its use, but it really is a fabulous edition to have for those who are nursing or if your little one falls asleep while you're carrying them! The hood adjusts to accommodate the height of your child and easily folds into a zippered storage compartment for a 'cleaner' look to the Boba Carrier while the hood is not in use.
One feature of the Boba Carrier that I absolutely adore is something that is far more beneficial for those carrying older babies or toddlers; the Stirrups. I cannot stress to you how great it is to have a place for your little ones feet to sit comfortably while they are being carried, especially if they are on your back. Little Mister always loved to put his feet int he stirrups and I loved that his feet weren't loose and swinging against me as we walked.
To secure the Boba Carrier to your body, there are two main buckles to adjust to insure a secure and comfortable fit. The upperback/shoulder strap is not only adjustable in width, but the height can also be adjusted by easily sliding the buckle up or down your back. Having the ability to slide the buckle makes it very easy to buckle yourself and tighten the straps yourself!
The second security buckle is the one that goes around your waist! It is significantly larger than the shoulder strap buckle and is an extremely thick and sturdy buckle. Both sides are adjustable so you can easily give the straps a tug once you have buckled it on to confirm a tight hold around your waist!
Now lets chat about the most exciting part of the Boba 4G! The Infant Insert!! The Infant Insert is designed to accommodate little ones from 7-15 pounds based off of two different sizes you can create simply by folding it! If you choose to leave the infant insert unfolded, it accommodates babies from 10-15 pounds giving them a little extra boost to see out of the carrier. If you fold the insert together (it snaps to create a secure seat), it can be used with little ones from 7 to 10 pounds by creating a small seat for them to sit on. Once your child surpasses the need to use the infant insert, you can easily and quickly remove it by unsnapping it from the carrier itself!
Since my newest addition is still 'baking in the oven' I enlisted the help of my friends The Carver's to model the Boba 4G with their son, Baby D. Baby D is about 11 pounds and sits comfortably on the infant insert while he hangs out with mommy or daddy in his Boba 4G! Whether they're hanging out at a friends house or out at exciting places such as the beach, Baby D is comfortable and content in his Boba 4G! A big thank you to The Carver's for allowing me to borrow their photos for this review!
The Boba 4G can accommodate mommy's and daddy's between 5 feet and 6 foot 3 inches tall, and it also has an adjustable waist band width of up to 58 inches! We absolutely love our Boba 4G and I cannot wait to use it with Baby #2! Whether you're looking for a soft structured carrier, a wrap, or even accessories such as baby wearing sweatshirts or carrier teething pads, Boba has everything you would need!

I don't have a soft structured carrier yet but would REALLY love to have one!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things I love about this carrier! Foot straps for one! And I think it is awesome that it COMES WITH the infant insert! The patterns are very cute that you are offering to choose from for the giveaway. I think we are most partial to the tweet pattern though.
ReplyDeleteI do not have a soft structure carrier. I do have a wrap but I would love to have a soft structure for my husband and I. He refuses to use a wrap. I prefer to carry in the front.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a soft structured carrier yet, but I've been looking at them. There are so many it's hard to choose! I think I'd prefer a back carry, bit I've never done it...
ReplyDeleteI love peak! I know it's new and keeps selling out, but it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love Tweet print and I do have two Bobas. I prefer wearing frontward.
ReplyDeleteI currently do not have a soft structure but I do have a carrier but with all of the hip problems Ive been hearing about I am in search for a soft structure one aka this Boba Carrier! I prefer to carry in the front but as he gets older I think i would prefer to carry in the back.
ReplyDeleteI do have a soft structured carrier, however it was confusing for me. its about 9 years old. its from a different brand. i tried to baby carry my son, but he hated it. now I am due in july and that old carrier is on the back burner. i plan on starting over with well known carriers / wraps / etc. I would prefer to front carry. I wanna smooch my babies all day =]
ReplyDeleteI do not have one yet, but have tried one on and heard that they are best for people with RA, compared to other carriers. I am about to have a baby any day now (due June 4th!) and am super excited about wearing her! I think front carries are best for infants, and back for older babies/toddlers!
ReplyDeleteI do not own one, but have heard that they are best for people with RA, compared to other carriers. I am currently due any day now (June 4th) and am super excited about wearing her! I think that front carries are best for infants, and back for older babies/toddlers.
ReplyDeleteI have a Beco carrier, but am not loving the way it fits on me. I'm a shorter person, so I love that the Boba is made to fit a wide range of heights.
ReplyDeleteI have an ergobaby, but my baby isn't due until July, so I don't know whether I like it or not.
ReplyDeleteI do have a soft structured carrier. I liked the front carry for a long time but now that my son is 23 pounds I do a back carry to save my back.
ReplyDeleteI am new to baby wearing and carriers currently I have a moby and was looking to get an ergo, I had not realized there were so many options. The boba looks like a great option.
ReplyDeleteI do not have a SSC, but would love to try it! I prefer back carries in my WCMT.
ReplyDeleteI think I like the Pine print the most.
ReplyDeleteI like the peak print.
ReplyDeleteI like the Pine but I'm sure my husband would rather have their MONTENEGRO
ReplyDeleteI do have a soft structured carrier BUT it is 16 years old and I have only used it 2x because I HATE IT!! Our son never looked comfortable it in since his legs just hung and he was def too big for it even though it said that he wasnt. When they are little, I like the front but Im sure I would like to carry a toddler in the back. I have been eying up one of these for awhile now for our son...it would be nice to win one :)
ReplyDeleteI currently only own a Boba Air and love it. I have only front carried so far but really need to figure out how to back carry since my daughter is almost a year old.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Tweet pattern, so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI love that it can be used with infants (with the insert); thanks for all the great photos it really shows it in detail. I wonder how comfortable it is when they get larger (toddler 30+lbs)... I've been looking for a comfortable way to wear my larger kiddo.
ReplyDeleteI currently don't have a soft-structured carrier but would love one! I would like to carry in the front but the option to carry on the back might be nice for when little bub is older.
ReplyDeleteI don't currently have a soft structured carrier. I am 34 weeks pregnant right now and have not been able to baby carry yet, so I can't say front or back. I can't wait until my little girl is here though so I can try!
ReplyDeleteI do not have a soft structured carrier yet, but would love to front carry when I do have one! This seems like a really good model to buy.
ReplyDeleteThe Boba 4G in "Tweet" print caught my eye too. I love birds and the soft carrier would be perfect and pretty too. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteI have a boba 3g. I prefer front Carrying my baby but I will probaby back carry when he is bigger.
ReplyDeleteI currently do have a soft structured carrier but it is extremely worn out and will probably fall apart soon. And I like to carry in the front when they are little and on the back when they get bigger and heavier.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an awesome carrier. I am doing research on all kinds since we are due with our first in October. Thanks for the review and information.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter in law loves her Boba soft structure carrier that I got her for a shower gift
ReplyDeleteI have an Ergo and my husband loves to back carry with it!
ReplyDeleteI like the pine print!
ReplyDeletei have an ergo! and i loved to front carry when my son was younger, now we prefer to back carry so he can see from the front.
ReplyDeleteI have an ergo but it is very stiff and hot. I Wolf love to have s beco because I live in Florida and they are more airy, and much prettier.
ReplyDeleteI currently don't have a carrier. I like the soft structure carrier features.
ReplyDeleteI currently don't have a baby carrier! Would love to win!
ReplyDeleteI have an original Boba carrier and could very much benefit from the newborn insert of the 4G! With my first child, I mostly carried in the front and just a couple times in the back, so I'd say I prefer front carry because it's what I'm used to. Not sure if I will carry my second for a longer time, so she might be back-carried quite a bit in the future!
ReplyDeleteI currently have a Boba 3G and loved it for my first baby. Expecting my second now. I definitely prefer front carry! we haven't mastered back carry yet.
ReplyDeleteI do not have a soft structured carrier, but would really love to have one! I love the idea of being able to carry the baby on my back! That would be so helpful this summer when I'll have three kids age three and under! Currently I only front carry though, as that's the only option I have with my stretch wrap.
ReplyDeletei love the print in tweet so cute i do not have any boba carriers but i would love to!!

ReplyDeleteI don't have a baby carrier and I love what cute fabrics are available for these. I think I would definitely be most comfortable carrying baby in front rather than on my back .
ReplyDeleteI do have a boba and love it. My husband carriers my 2yo in it while I use the Moby wrap to carry my 10mo. I would love a second boba because we hike frequently and it would make it much easier!
ReplyDeleteIts definitely a toss up between tweet and pine!
ReplyDeletei just have a ring sling next time im really wanting a good carrier i tried one on with my 25lb son it was amazing i would love to still baby wear and do it more often with the next baby.
ReplyDeleteI have a Ergo. I like to carry my toddler on my back and my infant on a front carry. But I find we need a better soft structure carrier. One that works better for our little one. The tweet is so cute but always out of stock. The Soho Is cute to. ❤
ReplyDeleteI do have a soft structured carrier and I prefer back, but my son prefers front
ReplyDeleteI like the glacier print
ReplyDeleteI have an Ergo and we like it but the Boba always had prettier color choices and seemed more light weight. I love the stir up idea. My 3 1/2 year old wants to ride on our back now that baby brother came along.
ReplyDeleteWe have an ergo, but we can't use it yet because our baby is too small and I'm a small person (4'11'') so it is mainly for my husband. I would love to win so I am also able to wear our baby.
ReplyDeleteI currently have no carrier. My last pregnancy I borrowed a low quality carrier from a friend. Not good. This would be a blessing for new baby that is coming. Front carry.
ReplyDeleteWe currently have an Ergo for DD#1 who is a toddler who prefers back carry. This would be great for our new arrival ETA 8/14! And I would love to try it on our toddler because of the foot straps!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 carriers, 1-ergo, 1-beco. I prefer the ease of use of the ergo. I like to carry both ways, depending on what activity we're doing.
ReplyDeleteI do have a ssc. I have only tried back carry once and my son was not a fan. So for now it is front carry.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about the hidden pockets. It looks so complete, would love to own one!.

ReplyDeleteI've only used a Tula but I've heard amazing things about the Boba and this is making me want my own!
ReplyDeleteI do not have a Boba and my daughter does not like the SSC that we have right now so we have never attempted a back carry. I'd love the chance to try another brand.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite print is "tweet"
ReplyDeleteI currently do not have a soft structured carrier and I like to back carry
ReplyDeleteI like the Vail print!
ReplyDeleteI have a beco carrier and love it...going on baby 3 and would love a new carrier.
ReplyDeleteTotally loving the tweet print!
ReplyDeleteI do not currently own a soft structured carrier. I prefer to front carry up to 5 months or so and then back carry.
ReplyDeleteI do not currently have a soft structured carrier. I had an Ergo with my daughter and didn't really care for it. I recently tried my sister's Boba 4G with my 7 week old nephew and it is amazing. It is one of my "must haves" for baby #2. I am kind of scared to back carry, but I love to front carry.
ReplyDeleteI love the Vail print.

ReplyDeleteI have a soft structured carrier. I love it! I loved front carrying until my daughter was around 7 months old. Now I LOVE back carrying. She gets to look around more and it isn't as much of a strain on my back :)
ReplyDeleteI love the stirrups feature. It sounds so simple and yet, very smart.

ReplyDeleteI'm loving the peak print! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI do have a SSC, though the back isn't high enough for my little one anymore. i prefer back carry, but i front carry more for simplicity's sake

ReplyDeleteMy niece does not have one and she would like to carry her baby on the front so she can keep an eye on her.
