Aden & Anais Bamboo Dream Blankets for the Holidays

When it comes to swaddling your little one and providing them with the softest and coziest baby blankets, what brand comes to mind? Most moms would agree that it would be Aden & Anais. When I first learned about Aden & Anais I was anxious to get my hands on one of their swaddles for Little Mister, even though by then he was well out of the stage of swaddling! Once I bought my first Aden & Anais (or more commonly known around the mom community as "A&A"), I got addicted.





Before I knew it I had about 5 swaddle blankets for Little Mister including a couple of their Bamboo Swaddles. I had been told that their Bamboo Swaddles were heavenly, but I had just no idea how much I would love them until I had one in my hands. The description that comes to mind is "silky butter". I know, that sounds ridiculous, but there really are no words to describe how luxurious it felt!

In 2003 the founder of Aden & Anais, Raegan, received news that she was expecting her first child. She sought out to find some muslin swaddle blankets for her unborn daughter, a parent 'staple' in Australia where she is from, and was disappointed to not find a single swaddle blanket that fit her needs. They were all either to thick or to small, and she was stunned that New York moms had yet to experience a swaddle blanket similar to what they had back home in Australia. In 2006 Aden & Anais was born, bringing high quality muslin swaddle blankets to the parents of the United States. Aden & Anais blankets are now sold in over 60 stores around the world. 

When I reached out to Aden & Anais in hopes of being able to bring you guys an awesome giveaway, I was ecstatic when I also received the opportunity for review. I kept my fingers and toes crossed and asked to review one of their Bamboo Dream Blankets. I had heard nothing but fabulous things about their Dream Blankets and I have been dying to get one for Little Mister. On numerous occasions I have "added them to my cart" online and then talked myself out of it - just because Little Mister has 43249032850275 blankets. I'm sure you can relate. This time, there was no talking myself out of it, whats one more blanket, right? 

When the Bamboo Dream Blanket arrived I practically ripped open the packaging, so excited to see it in all its glory.

Man, was I impressed! I even considered not giving it to Little Mister and keeping it for myself to cuddle with. Yeah I know, that's bad!!! The Bamboo Dream is just so soft and luxurious, with the perfect amount of weight to keep you warm! The Bamboo Dream Blanket is made from 4 layers of rayon from bamboo fiber muslin and measures 47" X 47" making it the perfect size for your little one to cuddle no matter where they're at! At this time the Bamboo Dream Blanket is offered in 6 gorgeous colors/prints. Whether you're looking for your little boy, girl, or gender neutral you can choose from Blue, Pink, or Gray, in two different prints each! We received the Azure - Bead + Solid Aqua Bamboo Dream Blanket!

The front of this cozy blanket is decorated with various sized blue and gray dots, giving the blanket a very cozy yet playful look. I personally adore this print because it's not overwhelmingly patterned and the colors are light and subtle. It gives the blanket a 'child' look without having jungle animals or princesses on it. What I love most is that regardless of if Little Mister is 2 or 6, he won't outgrow the look of the pattern. 

On the back side of the blanket is solid aqua. I am a huge fan of blue colors to begin with, but A&A really nailed it with this shade of aqua. It's not so bright where you feel like you need sunglasses while looking at it, but it's not to light where you question whether it really is a shade of aqua. It's the perfect color for either a little boy or a little girl! 

As I mentioned above, this blanket is 47" X 47" making it quiet large! Below it is show hanging over the side of Little Misters crib, and the blanket is approximately hung in half. It's the perfect fit for Little Mister to sleep with in his crib! 

Since receiving the Bamboo Dream Blanket, Little Mister has adopted it as his newest cuddle blankie. He carries…well drags..it all over the house, has cuddle time watching a movie in mommy's bed with it, and wants to bring it in the car! If Little Mister could speak in full sentences I'm fairly certain he would say that the Bamboo Dream is a keeper. 

Overall I am so pleased with the Aden & Anais Bamboo Dream Blanket and would highly recommend it to all of my friends and readers. The only complaint that do have is that the blanket seems to be a little 'fragile' (for lack of a better word) in the sense that it does snag easily, however that does happen frequently with bamboo fabric. When washing the blanket I recommend putting it on a gentle setting to avoid any snags in the fabric! Other than that, this blanket is amazing and I now have the adult dream blanket from Aden & Anais on my wish list!!
