Baby Trend is one of the leading innovators of baby gear and has been manufacturing quality baby must have's for over twenty three (23) years. Baby Trend strives to accomplish their goal of providing the safest, most reliable products that are available at an affordable price. The first baby products introduced by Baby Trend were their Snap N' Go and Sit N' Stand strollers which have won numerous awards and continue to make their way into families homes as a must have.
Baby Trend generously allowed me to review their fabulous Sit N Stand Ultra and I was excited to have the opportunity. Although I do not have two children [yet], I have a good friend who has two little ones and we often go into the city for a girls day with the kids. My friend has a four year old and a one and a half year old and even though her four year old daughter is fully capable of spending the day walking and shopping, you know how little ones can be, and it's always best if they are able to have a little rest and a spot to sit while the moms are enjoying themselves. I was excited to have been given the opportunity to review such a wonderful stroller that we both would get a lot of use out of.
The Sit N Stand Ultra arrived in a HUGE box! If you're picking this bad boy up from the store I recommend bringing a truck or a large SUV, there's no way I'd be able to get this into my Honda Accord. When I pulled it out of the box I was pleased to see that the stroller frame and seats were fully assembled and all I had to do was to add the small things such as the wheels, cup holders, and the trays. Set up was easy and only took me about 10 minutes or so and that's because I was chasing down Baby A who kept stealing the wheels.

Once I had everything set up I was completely impressed with how stylish the stroller was! I knew my friend and her kiddo's were going to love it as much as I would, this would make our outings so much more fun! The Sit N Stand Ultra can accommodate children up to 50 pounds or 40" in the front seat, and up to 50 pounds on the jump seat or standing platform, or 100 pounds total on the stroller. The best part is, the Sit N Stand Ultra easily converts to a travel system! The child tray swings downward (I will go over that in detail later) and you click your infant carseat into place. The Sit N Stand Ultra is compatible with all Baby Trend infant car seats as well as most major brands of car seats such as Graco, Britax, and Evenflo.
Now, I said above that the stroller came in a HUGE box and there is no way that it would fit in the truck of a car.... luckily for you, the stroller itself has a compact fold and will have no problem fitting in the trunk! For a stroller that can hold two children, the Sit N Stand Ultra is quite compact. The best part is, you do not have to remove anything from the stroller (i.e.: cup holders, child tray, etc) before you fold it up! To open the stroller simply pull the folding latch open, grab the handle of the stroller and give a little wiggle and the stroller pops right open and locks into place!
The Sit N Stand's front seat features a 5 point harness that is simple to get your little one in and out of. Simply squeeze the two red buttons and the latches unlock allowing you to remove your child's arms from under the straps and pull them right out. The front seat also has adjustable height slots that will accommodate your growing child.
One feature that I always look for in a stroller is a child tray. A child tray is a selling point for me and if I am interested in a stroller that doesn't include a child tray, it at least needs a bumper bar! Luckily for us parents, the Sit N Stand Ultra includes the child tray that is not only removable, but swings away!
A few other great features that the Sit N Stand Ultra offers are all for the benefit of your child! The stroller has a large footrest for your child to rest their feet on if their little legs are long enough as well as an adjustable canopy that can be moved all the way down to the child tray to shield your child's eyes from the sun! The front seat of the Sit N Stand Ultra also reclines with the recline bar located behind the seat. The seat does not recline to much due to needing to accommodate the rear seat, however I thought it was a great feature that the seat was able to move at all! It was a feature that I wasn't expecting.
The jump seat of the Sit N Stand Ultra is an excellent place for your little ones (recommended for little ones over the age of 2 1/2) to take a rest while you're out and about. The jump seat features a lap belt that has the same latch and squeeze release as the 5 point harness in the front seat making it easy for moms to get their kids buckled and unbuckled smoothly. In addition to a comfy seat for your second passenger, the rear of the stroller also features dual cup holders for snack cups and beverages.
If your child decides they'd rather stand than sit, there is a large standing platform for them to ride on. There is also a short front strap that connects between the metal frame of the stroller to help keep your child more secure as they ride on the standing platform. Your child can comfortably hold onto the metal frame of the stroller as they ride along on the stroller.
The most important safety feature of a stroller are it's breaks. You never know when you'll need them, and lets face it, the easier the breaks are to use, the better. The Sit N Stand Ultra features a foot activated rear break that you simply push down on with your foot and it locks both back wheels in place allowing your stroller to stay securely in one spot.
Now you've seen all of the features of the Sit N Stand Ultra that benefit your children, now what about the features that benefit you? The Sit N Stand Ultra offers a large parent tray that features two cup holders as well as a good sized storage compartment for your phone, keys, gum, lip gloss, etc. The stroller also has an easy one hand fold to provide convenience for us mommies. All you do is slide the red lock/unlock button to the left while pushing in on the red button below the handle and push the stroller downward. Once the locking latch is in place, you're ready to store the stroller in your trunk or garage!
In addition to the amazing parent tray and the easy one hand fold, the Sit N Stand also gives moms a very large storage basket for all of our shopping goodies or our diaper bag! I was pleased to see how roomy the basket was and was excited to be able to stick my very overpacked diaper bag with no problem!
Overall we LOVE the Sit N Stand Ultra and think it is a fantastic stroller for moms with two, or for moms of one who sometimes have extra children in tow! The stroller is sturdy, pushes smoothly, and folds compactly making it the perfect stroller for busy moms on the go!
