Going Somewhere? Check out Your Travel Videos!

Do you enjoy traveling? If you've ever traveled before, I'm sure in one way or another you've been mislead about one of your travel options whether it be which flight to take, which hotel/motel to stay at, or which restaurant to eat at. Reviews you find around the web aren't always honest, in fact more than likely, a handful of the reviews you find on popular review websites are written by employee's of the particular facility you're looking into. I know first hand that reading a review on the web can be misleading, so who do we trust? Well, let me introduce you to Your Travel Videos!

Your Travel Videos is an up and coming website where anyone can upload their personal videos to give others feedback on a particular hotel, motel, restaurant, attraction, or just an overall travel experience to a specific destination. Companies do a fantastic job at staging their facilities to look beautiful and enticing, which in turn prompts consumers to book a room, make a reservation, or purchase tickets to visit their business, but lets be honest, everyone has photoshop these days, right? Sometimes things just aren't what they seem.

Check out the video below for an introduction to Your Travel Videos

With Your Travel Videos, real people post their real homemade videos (off of their smart phone or camera) and upload them onto Your Travel Videos, under the guidelines that the video is informative and appropriate. Whether the video is positive or negative depends on the consumers experiences, but you can rest assured knowing that you are getting honest feedback and a place that you could potentially spending your hard earned money at.

At Your Travel Videos you can easy search for what everything you will need to plan a trip, all with YTV's quick easy search guide! To demonstrate, I decided to search for a very popular tourist destination to see what types of videos I could find!

First I typed in "Honolulu, Hawaii" into the Location search box, followed by checking the box to the left of "Places to Stay", the box next to "Show All", and then I clicked search! Immediately following, a bunch of blue dots (hotel/resorts), one red (all inclusive), and one purple (bread and breakfast) popped onto the map! Having the map feature is fantastic because you are able to zoom in and see exactly where a specific place is and what's around it.

When your search results show up, I recommend zooming in a little closer so that you have a little better view of exactly where the dots are on the map, then what you do is take your mouse and hover over one of the dots to see the business name, address, and how many videos have been submitted for it.

Once you click on the link you are redirected to the business's page which will show you the price range, the videos that have been submitted, a link to the business's website, the option to submit your own video, and the opportunity to view additional resources.

When you click on "View Additional Resources" it will then bring you to a list of other websites that the specific business is associated with such as Yelp, Facebook, and Trip Advisor, and you will easily be able to read various other reviews on the business of your interest.

Your Travel Videos also offers a wonderful community where people can post narratives, pictures, and videos of their past and present travel adventures so that others can get a feel of what a certain destination is like. Video Adventures gives users a chance to follow each other's vacations and live vicariously through others.

Another great feature that Your Travel Videos offers is a way to make money with them! Yep, that's right, you could make some extra spending cash for your upcoming vacation! You simply apply to become an authorized rep and once you are approved you can make money by opening up new location account pages by filming your own video's for specific businesses. You could also harvest existing links to add to a business's account page. Once you have done that, you are encouraged to contact the business to sell the main ad on their page, for only $98 for the year! Once you've sold the ad space, you pocket the money! What more could you ask for with an upcoming vacation?! Check out the video below for more information!

  1. Oh wow, what a neat concept! I know that reviews can be,, iffy. You read one where someone will say "oh, this place is awful" and then another that's the opposite. A site like Your Travel should work out very well!
