I have great memories of playing with play food when I was young. I loved to play house and pretend that my baby dolls were real to take care of them. I would cook play food and host pretend tea parties, much like your little girl would or will. Nowadays boys are being encouraged to play with kitchens too which I feel is absolutely amazing! When Baby A turns two I plan to get him a kitchen of his own as well as lots of wooden play food!
Cooking is something that everyone learns to do, whether they're good at it is another story, but in some time or another, everyone cooks. Until I became a stay at home mom, my cooking went as far as Mac & Cheese and cereal. Okay so that's a lie, but I wasn't very good at cooking and I was not good at trying new things. What I did love though, was to bake. Cookies, Cakes, Muffins, you name it, if it was baking I enjoyed it! The one thing I cannot wait to do with Baby A when he gets older, is get him in the kitchen and teaching him to cook and bake.
