Thirty One Review & Giveaway

I have said this a million times, I know, and I'm sorry for sounding like a broken record, but I LOVE bags. Like seriously, it's an addiction. So when I was approached by the Senior Executive Director of Thirty One, I obviously could not pass up the opportunity to work with her!!

Every Thirty-One style was designed with you in mind. They’re all fun and functional solutions that make your life a little easier. Whether you’re looking for style, organization, the perfect giftable item or a little bit of everything, you’ve come to the right place!

From totes or purses you can wear while you’re out and about, thermals to help you transport food and drinks to a party, or organizational items to help you keep your house neat and tidy, Thirty-One has a solution! Our Consultants will have you believing in styles that fit you perfectly.

Senior Executive Director Kahne Witham began her journey with Thirty One back in December 2009 when she began looking for a way to provide additional income to her family while still staying home with her children. Wanting to stay true to herself, Kahne searched for something that would be fun, girly, and rewarding! When she learned about Thirty One she was immediately intrigued and dove in head first. Now, four years later, she is the Senior Executive Director of Thirty One and can honestly say that she loves her job.

Kahne, and Thirty One, generously let me choose which item from their spring collection that I would like to review and after careful consideration I chose the Organizing Utility Tote in the print Lotsa Dots. Although the print wasn't necessarily my favorite (I love Island Demask print), I had big plans for this bag and I knew what I would be doing with it prior to receiving it- so of course, I had to have it match the area that it would be "living" in! The Organizing Utility Tote is exactly how the name describes it- organizing! Measuring 15.5 W x 10.25 H x 6.5 D, this bag features three pockets on the front of the bag (they're much deeper than they appear!), two on the back, and two mesh pockets on the side! The inside is wide open space which is perfect to maximize the amount that you can pack in it. The bag itself is lightweight and fits perfectly under your shoulder if you are carrying it around with you.

So what can you use your Organizing Utility Tote for? The possibilities are endless! Prior to making a decision on the print, I thought for a good hour on what exactly I would use my organizing utility tote for. Tons of ideas crossed my mind such as organizing my personal products in the bathroom, organizing the laundry room, under the desk for files, next to my bed for books, to hold toys in Baby A's room. The the light bulb went on over my head and I knew what I would use it for! To organize the tornado that is what I like to call the back seat of my car! I try to keep my back seat clean, I really do, but when you have a seventeen month old who loves to throw things sitting back there, trying becomes near impossible. I knew that with the help of an Organizing Utility Tote I could keep my car clean again!!  The reason I ended up choosing the Lotsa Dots print is because I drive a Honda Accord that has a beige interior! The Lotsa Dots print is beige, cream, and chocolate brown (the handles), and I knew it would match perfectly and not stick out like a sore thumb like my first choice-the Island Demask- would.

When the bag arrived I couldn't wait to organize. Inside of the bag I put Baby A's two "in case of an emergency" blankets, The front three pockets became my "emergency diapering station" equipt with ointment, a wipes case with wipes, changing pad, cloth diaper cover, and an extra pacifier. The back two pockets became a home for my emergency umbrella (hey, you never know when it will start monsooning) and the other pocket now holds an extra dog leash and doggy potty bags. In the mesh pockets I put a toy for Baby A and the manual to his car seat! The bag would hold a LOT more in the main part of the bag but I figured everything else that was floating around in the car wasn't really necessary and I put it away in the house. Since adding the Organizing Utility Tote to my car, I can honestly say that my car has looked as it did prior to having a baby! My only wish is that I had gotten this bag much sooner!
