FunBites was created by a mom of two whose youngest daughter was an extremely picky eater. She was constantly cutting her daughter's food into fun shapes to encourage her to eat what was in front of her. Thanks to Bobbie's brilliant idea of FunBites, her daughter would eat healthy foods and even try new things!
FunBites generously let me choose which FunBites set would be best for my family, and since Baby A is a boy, I decided to go with the squares! To be honest with you guys, I was little skeptical of this product before it arrived. I thought the concept was cool, but I questioned how well it would work and if it would really encourage Baby A to eat new foods since they would be in exciting shapes. When it arrived, I was pretty excited to test it out!
FunBites is a two piece system that both cuts and shapes all sorts of foods including sandwiches, hamburgers, pancakes, and much more. The base of the FunBites serves as the cutter/shaper, and the second piece serves as a popper to get the food out of the cutter!
Below I have taken a sequence of photos to show just how easy it is to turn an ordinary jelly sandwich into a FunBites sandwich!
Step 1. Have your sandwich- or other food item- ready to go on a flat surface.
Step 2. Place the FunBites base on top of the sandwich (or other food item), push down firmly, and rock it back and forth between 4 to 5 times (or more if necessary).
Step 3. Optional Flip your food item over to make sure that it is fully cut
Step 4. Use the second part of the FunBites to pop out the sandwich (or food!)
Thanks to FunBites I was able to get Baby A to eat a turkey sandwich and actually enjoy it! I have been using my FunBites almost daily, it's so convenient to cut whatever Baby A is eating since it cuts his food into perfect, bite sized squares! I also love that with his jelly sandwich's it squishes the breads together just enough where it doesn't fall apart and Baby A doesn't get jelly everywhere!
I recommend FunBites to anyone with a little one! Not only will it make meal time a blast for them, but it will make your job a little easier (and faster) as well!
