Petunia Pickle Bottom's Cross Town Clutch Review & Giveaway

I scream, you scream, we all scream for....PETUNIA! That's right folks, because you LOVED last  giveaway of the Petunia Pickle Bottom Sashay Satchel, I am super excited to inform you that I have yet another sweet Petunia Pickle Bottom review and giveaway for you!

As a mom I love to carry my stylish Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag's everywhere I go, but sometimes there is just no need to carry a huge diaper bag and all I really need is to carry the basics. Thankfully, Petunia Pickle Bottom truly does think of everything and offers moms a stylish diaper bag clutch that can be used both as a small diaper bag AND a purse!

*I received a complimentary Cross Town Clutch for review in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions*

Want to "meet" the Cross Town Clutch? Read on my friends, read on!

Petunia Pickle Bottom's Cross Town Clutch puts an innovative twist on a classic clutch giving moms not only style, but perfect functionality. This stylish clutch measures 12 inches in length, 8 inches in height, and 4.5 inches in width. The exterior of these awesome little clutches is "glazed" and can easily be wiped clean if needed. The print seen below is one of Petunia Pickle Bottom's newest prints, Midnight in Malmo.

When you purchase a Cross Town Clutch you will also receive a matching snap-in changing pad as well as an embossed Petunia Pickle Bottom wipes case; both included to make diaper changing on the go a little bit simpler for mom and dad!

Inside of the Cross Town Clutch is not only spacious, but very organized as well! The changing pad has its own pocket that it fits perfectly in, the wipes case fits into a pocket directly across from the changing pad, and then you also have two small pockets (perfect for your cell phone and perhaps a coin purse), a key fob, and a spacious mid section to put other belongings in.

For your convenience the Cross Town Clutch features a snap closure to ensure that your belongings won't come flying out of your clutch in the event of it tipping over. The Cross Town Clutch is also adorned with the new Petunia Pickle Bottom metal nameplate.

What I absolutely love about the Cross Town Clutch is that in addition to the snap closure, it also has several strong magnets to assist in a secure closure. When it comes to my bags, I always worry a bit about items falling out if I have to make a quick stop and my bag goes falling to the floorboard of my car or say Baby A just decides he wants to go digging through my bag. It's a great peace of mind to know that my bag is secured not only by a snap closure, but by strong magnets as well!

As I mentioned above, the Cross Town Clutch includes a changing pad for quick diaper changes on the go. What is absolutely fabulous about this changing pad is that it is HUGE and I love that it is circular. If you choose to leave it snapped in your clutch it just folds right out giving you plenty of space to change baby while easily grabbing supplies out of the bag. Another fantastic feature of the Cross Town Clutches changing pad is that one side is wipeable! You never know what messes may be in store for a diaper change and it's so great knowing that if anything makes its way onto the changing pad that you can easily wipe it clean!

If you're falling in love with the Cross Town Clutch but are thinking you'd rather use it as a mommy bag or purse, you can very simply remove the changing pad from the clutch by unsnapping three small snaps that connect the changing pad to the bag. Store your changing pad in a convenient place and when you're ready to use the bag while you're with baby, you can quickly snap the changing pad back in and be on your way!

What's great about the Cross Town Clutch is that you may choose to use it as a wristlet or a shoulder bag. I love the Petunia Pickle Bottom gives you the option to change the strap because depending on your mood or situation, you can change the bag to accommodate your needs. While the wristlet strap is adorable and perfect for date nights, the shoulder strap is much more convenient for running into the bank or grocery store with a baby on your hip. My Cross Town Clutch gets the most use when it's in "shoulder strap mode".

Lets talk about something that some of you may have noticed about my beautiful Midnight in Malmo Cross Town Clutch. Every now and then Petunia Pickle Bottom holds online outlet sales giving moms the opportunity to purchase their beloved bags at a discounted price. Some of the bags sold are considered "discontinued classics" which means that they are selling the final amount that they have in a certain bag's print/style and once it's gone, it's gone. Other bags sold are considered "certified seconds" which means that there is a minimal flaw or flaws found in the bag and Petunia Pickle Bottom hangs onto it to sell at an even further discounted price at their Outlet Sales. The "flaws" of a certified second can range anywhere from upside down name plates, imperfect stitching, incorrect print placements, or anything else they would consider to be less than perfect. I have spoken with many women who have purchased and continue to purchase "certified seconds" and continue to find nothing wrong with their bags, and I have also spoken with moms who have found the flaw and are unbothered by it. With that being said, I believe the Cross Town Clutch that I was sent is in fact a "certified second" because of the slightly crooked print placement that this bag has on the back. Now, since I pointed out the crooked print placement I also want to note that it was literally the only "flaw" that I could find on the bag and I am actually happy that they sent me (whether it was knowingly or not) a "certified second" because I personally have never purchased one before and I found it helpful to see one in person. The bag is 100% fully functional and absolutely stunning and now that I have had the opportunity to see a "certified second" in person I am happy to report that it would not discourage me from buying "certified seconds" in the future.

Although the Cross Town Clutch may seem small, this bag can surprisingly fit a lot! If you've read my various diaper bag reviews in the past you will see that I typically carry the same stuff in my bags. When switching to a mommy bag or a purse I always carry my wallet, package of Wet Ones, keys, and my Chick Springs clutch full of essentials such as tampons, hand sanitizer, chap stick, lip stick, and pepper spray. I was a little leery of whether or not the Chick Springs clutch would fit inside of the Cross Town Clutch because well, that little clutch is packed to the brim. I of course gave it a go and packed everything into the Cross Town Clutch. I was more than pleased with the Cross Town Clutch closed without problems and didn't appear to be stuffed or overpacked. I was excited to have a fun clutch that I could now use on the rare occasions that I could leave the house without my little man.

For the 90% of times were I would be taking my little guy out with me, I was excited to have a diaper bag clutch that I could use for quick trips to the bank, grocery store, etc. I decided to really put the Cross Town Clutch to the test and packed the bag as if we were going to be out for an hour or two. I was almost a little shocked when I had no problems packing up the changing pad, a wipes case, my wallet, keys, Wet Ones, an Itzy Ritzy Snack Happens bag that was half full, a bumGenius Freetime diaper, a coin purse, Baby A's immunization record, a sample pack of Boogie Wipes and a few bandaids. I thought for certain the bag wouldn't close with all of that but it did, and although it was clearly packed full, I was able to carry the essentials without packing a full diaper bag.

I am more than impressed with the Cross Town Clutch and I am excited to recommend it to all of you wonderful moms who are looking for a bag that can not only be used with baby, but without baby as well. I love that the Cross Town Clutch can be worn as a wristlet or on your shoulder and lets not forget that the whole bag, including the changing pad, is wipeable! Petunia Pickle Bottom once again lives up to their outstanding reputation and continues to have my vote on best diaper bag brand available to moms!
