Baby's require a lot of stuff, and when it comes to eating it's no different. Especially when your on the go!
Before the Hubs and I had kids we ate out at least once every week, now that we have 3 kids eating out is a very rare occasion. When we do decide to eat out, its even rarer that the kids are with us , we typically save it for date nights ;-)
Eating out with kids can be a daunting task, especially with young kiddos. We have 3 kids ages 5 and under, so dinner consists of a lot of opportunities to teach manners and good eating habits. Taking care of those things in a restaurant can be a daunting task. When eating out, I have to admit that I become a little stressed out about the highchairs. I don't really consider myself a "germ-a-phobe" , but high chairs and shopping carts kind of gross me out. So, I am always wiping them off and then using a cover..when I remember it.
Most high chair covers are bulky and just drape over the highchair, then your constantly readjusting them to keep your littles hands away from the germs. Recently I was introduced to a great product by Svan called the TotSeat. There were a few things that attracted me to this product right away.
The TotSeat is a portable, washable and squashable seat. The Totseat is made of fabric, in a variety of fun designs & transforms regular chairs into the perfect seat for baby or toddler. I chose the Tapas design because of its gender neutral design. The TotSeat is great for littles ages 8 months-30 months so it can easily be used for either Lil Stinker who is 2 or Sweet Pea who just turned 1.
We haven't been out to eat since our TotSeat arrived, but we have tried it out at home & I love it! The seat is very easy to put on your chair & I love the design. The adjustable height settings allow the product to be used on most chairs, and it fastens securely with a clip. There is also a cummerbund included , at first I wasn't really sure what it was to be used for, I couldn't get it to make sense on our dining room chairs. So, I had to pull out the directions ;-) and found out the cummerbund is for chairs with an open back....genius!!
Sweet Pea was so cozy in the TotSeat and Lil Stinker was so anxious to try it out as well. I love how easy to use the TotSeat is, and because it is so compact & comes in a small carry bag I have been keeping the seat in my diaper bag. No more leaving the cover at home! Everything about the TotSeat makes this momma happy, I am so excited for the next time we go out and are able to use it...now just to decide which little we will use it with. ;-)
The TotSeat can be purchased for $35 and one of you will win one of your own, in your choice of print. Please fill out the entry form below for your chance to win, this giveaway will end on Sunday 9/29, Good Luck!!
