Today Mommys Craft Obsession is featuring a brand that parents everywhere know and love. The First Years has been supplying parents with quality baby items for years and it has become one of the most well known brands available on the market. When it comes to potty training, parents may become easily frustrated when little ones seem resistant, but lucky for us The First Years created a fun potty seat that toddlers everywhere will love!
*I received a complimentary potty trainer for review in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions*
The First Years generously sent me a Disney Baby Cars Racing Mission Potty System to assist in potty training Baby A! Baby A is a huge fan of Disney's Cars and adores all of the cars he's accumulated in his toy box! I was so excited when the Cars Racing Mission Potty System arrived on our door step and I couldn't wait to show Baby A and get him excited about potty training!
When I pulled the potty out of the box, Baby A's eyes got huge and a smile spread across his face. He immediately thought it was a giant car for him to play with because it looked so much like an actual car! I loved that it was brightly colored and adorned with a fun Lightening McQueen sticker on the front!
The Cars Racing Mission Potty System is actually a 3 in 1 potty system that can be used as a stand alone first potty, a potty seat on the family toilet, and as a step stool! The potty system has three pieces that your will use for the stand alone potty and two pieces that you will use on the family toilet! I love that the Cars Racing Mission has a cushioned seat with a high pee shield which is perfect for little boys!
To make the potty seat fun, The First Years included a sound box that makes a "VRRRRRRROOOOMMMMM" noise when you push it's button! When you first receive your Cars Racing Mission Potty System the noise box will be screwed into the bottom of the potty seat and you will want to unscrew it and re-screw it into the top of the potty seat so that your child can push the button after they have used the potty! Baby A loves to push the button and thinks it's hilarious when he hears the potty seat making car noises!
The Cars Racing Mission Potty System is small enough where it fits perfectly in our tiny bathroom yet it's still big enough to train Baby A and get him comfortable using the potty!
If your child is ready to transition into using the big potty, the Cars Racing Mission Potty System comes apart so that you may move the cushioned seat along with the outer base (yellow) so that the cushioned area can sit comfortably on the toilet. The outer base of the seat will also carry the noise box over so that your child can enjoy the fun car noise once they've done their business!
Even after your child is finished potty training and no longer needs the Cars Racing Mission Potty System, it makes a very handy step stool for those who may not be tall enough to reach the sink!!
Baby A seems to enjoy his potty seat although we have not began potty training yet. He loves to sit down on the potty seat while I am using the bathroom and he thinks it's hilarious every time he pushes the blue button to make the car noise. I love that we will continue to get use out of the potty seat even after Baby A has been potty trained because it can be used as a step stool! The First Years has not disappointed with this potty seat and I recommend it to anyone who will be potty training in the near future!

I have potty trained two and am getting ready to start one the last one. I am ready for it to be over. My only advice is don't push it to soon. Wait until they are really ready.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are all grown up now, but when they were ready to go potty, they let me know. Don't push it to fast or too hard. I have always thought that boys were easier than girls, but that's just me.
ReplyDeleteI have not started. Holly just turned 1 so I am thinking we should have her start in another few months. I am very worried about potty training her because she is never aware or cares about when she pees or soils herself. She doesn't cry about it like most babies she will just sit in a dirty diaper all day if you let her.
ReplyDeleteFirst timer...don't stress out about the potty. They will do it when ready and everyday is different. It is a long process.
