Tiesta Tea Review & Giveaway

*I received complimentary tea for review in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions*

"From childhood friends to a wild weekend in Prague, we never thought tea would be our calling. It was in some tiny Czech teahouse that we got hooked on loose-leaf tea. Three months later, we started making our own. Our professors and parents thought we were nuts, but a couple friends believed in us, blending tea in exchange for pizza and beer. We’re a tight knit crew that keeps it simple; all-natural loose-leaf tea blends with real fruits and herbs. We tell you what matters: what it does for you, what it tastes like, and how to make it. So what’s stopping you? Get rid of those boring ol’ tea bags and dive in, because once you get loose, you’ll never go bagged." - Tiesta Tea

Here's a confession: I am not a tea drinker. Every once in a while I'll crave a cup of peppermint tea, passion tea, or even good old fashioned Lipton tea, but my hot beverage of choice has always been coffee. As much as I love coffee though, I can't drink it late in the afternoon or in the evening because the caffeine will keep me up all night (and I'm already a night owl!), so if I get my warm beverage craving late in the day I usually have to suck it up and wait until the morning. It occurred to me very recently that there are many tea's that do not have any caffeine in them- yes, I know what you're thinking... "you just now figured that out?"...well, no...I've known it for a while I just didn't realize it. There's a difference! When Tiesta Tea reached out to me for a review and giveaway, I figured I would give tea a more serious try!

Tiesta Tea sent me five full size tea tins, three sample teas, and a box of T-Sac filters! I had everything I needed to enjoy several nice cups of coffee! In full sized tins I received Blueberry Wild Child "Eternity", Palm Beach Punch "Relaxer", Passion Berry Jolt "Energizer", Lean Green Machine "Slenderizer", Fireberry "Immunity", and in sample sizes I received Fruity Pubbles "Slenderizer", Kiwi Cherry Bonanza "Immunity", and Passion Berry Jolt "Energizer".

Tiesta Tea's are combine unique combinations and extremely flavorful. For this review I specifically opened up the Palm Beach Punch. Palm Beach Punch is caffeine free and incorporates a blend of apple pieces, blackberry leaves, eucalyptus leaves, carrot bits, beetroot pieces, hibiscus, lemon grass, tangerine, and orange slices. What I loved is that the tea was not teeny tiny blends of all of the ingredients, but they were big chunks of fruit and leaves!

While you're waiting for your water to get hot, fill the tea filter with tea (I only did about half full).

I love to use giant coffee mugs so I filled up my Minne Mouse mug and put the tea filter, full of tea, in to steep. The tea is light weight so the tea filter did not sink to the bottom of the mug which was was very happy about since the tea filter doesn't fully close.

I let the tea steep for a little under five minutes and when I pulled the tea filter out I had sweet and delicious smelling pink tea that I couldn't wait to drink! When I took my first sip I was very impressed with the favor, it was sweet yet not overbearing, and very enjoyable!

I am the type of person who likes to only open one container at a time so I haven't had the opportunity to try all of the flavors that I received but I am on my second tin and so far I am very impressed with Tiesta Tea! If you are a tea drinker or are interested in becoming one, I recommend you trying out Tiesta Tea and their unique and delicious flavors!

  15. I'm going to have to order some of this tea, I love that it's loose tea and that it's bigger pieces so it doesn't seem like it's lost everything while getting ground up!
