Sparkup Reader Review & Giveaway

I am a bookworm, and I hope that one day in the near future, Baby A will be one too! With that being said, living in a digital age can put a real hindrance from children of this generation seeing the importance and beauty of things such as real books. Thankfully there is a new product called the Sparkup Reader that will help put the magic of books back into perspective for children everywhere!

*I received a complimentary Sparkup Reader for review in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions*

Sparkup Reader was established in 2010 with the goal of encouraging kids to rediscover the non-digital world that is around them. Although established three years ago, the Sparkup reader was just introduced onto the market after being created by a team of talented engineers, programmers, and designers who were excited to "sparkup" playtime and story time, anytime!

When I had the opportunity to review a Sparkup reader, I was very excited because Daedra's daughter, Little Miss, was about to turn 5 and start kindergarten, so I knew this would be the perfect gift for her! I was delighted when the Sparkup reader arrived with two additional books as well! It was the perfect gift!

Inside of the Sparkup reader, I was excited to see another book for Little Miss to enjoy! I couldn't wait to watch her open it so that we could see how it worked!

So how does the Sparkup Reader work? The Sparkup Reader uses it's patent pending technology that uses a tiny 'camera' to read literally any book in the world. The Sparkup reader can recognize the pages of your child's book so that it can read to your child, even if they turn the pages out of order! What I absolutely love about the Sparkup Reader is that you can choose to record books yourself so that your child's books are read in your voice (or anyone's voice who you choose!) or you may download pre-recorded books read by professionals, from their online marketplace! The Sparkup Reader holds up to 50 books for your child to enjoy!

When the Sparkup Reader is ready to read your child a book, the green light will be illuminated letting you know that it is on. The Sparkup is able to recognize what book your child wants to read by using the camera to 'see' the books cover. As your child turns the pages, even if they are skipping pages, the Sparkup Reader will know which page to read!

Little Miss and Daedra decided to record one of Little Miss's favorite books, Going to the Zoo by Tom Paxton! When I went to her house a few days later, Little Miss was SO excited to show me the Sparkup Reader and to tell me all about it.

When I sat down with her to check out the Sparkup, even I was impressed with how the Sparkup knew every book that I attached it too and every page that I turned! Recording new books is extremely simple and it's so great to be able to record your voice, so even if you're not home with your little one, they can sit down and have you read a book to them, and learn from your voice.

I was very impressed with the Sparkup Reader and think that it is perfect for children of all ages, whether they're just enjoying story time or in the beginning stages of learning to read on their own. The Sparkup Reader makes a fantastic gift and is easy for the parents to use and set up!
