Mead is a household name for those who love to organize. It is a product line created for anyone who aspires to learn, imagine, and create through trusted daily tools such as planners, notebooks, and shopping tools. The OrganizHer sub-brand was created to keep us ladies organized in our daily lives and while we're out and about!
I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with Mead/OrganizHer on a review and giveaway for their Shopping Companion. Since I can remember, I have always been obsessed with school/office supplies including but not limited to planners, notebooks, folders, pens, and highlighters. When I learned that OrganizHer offered 'Shopping Companions' I was over the moon and couldn't wait to have it in my hot little hands!

I received the purple Shopping Companion for review and I was instantly impressed with the quality. The notebook (for lack of a better term) included an elastic band to keep it closed so that your lists and coupons won't fall out in your purse or diaper bag.
The front page of the Shopping Companion has clear store loyalty card holders so that you can easily keep all of your store cards in one convenient place, since you'll always have your Shopping Companion with you while you're out! The cards fit perfectly and are quick and easy to take out when needed! I only have four loyalty cards, however the shopping companion can hold 8 (front and back) as well as 8 (front and back) of the keychain sized loyalty cards! I thought this was an awesome feature!
The Shopping Companion has two tabs for you to utilize - shopping list, and coupons! I love that there are not tons of tabs in the Shopping Companion, it keeps organization simple and easy to utilize.
In the "Shopping List" tab there are several shopping list pages that are perforated so that you can easily remove them from the notebook if it is easier for you. There are many lines to write in your grocery items as well as bubbles for you to check off items as you put them into your shopping cart.
The "coupon tab" of the Shopping Companion is a feature that I was very impressed with! The pages of this section are actually small pockets to store coupons in. I love that they are pockets because it is easy to accommodate different sized coupons or store multiple in one pocket! The pockets also have a section where you can write in what type of coupon or if you want, what store the coupons are for.
The Shopping Companion also features a plastic zip-locking sleeve that is perfect to store pens or pencils in, so that you can write in your Shopping Companion while on the go!
Overall I love my OrganizHer Shopping Companion and think that it is a fantastic purchase for anyone who wants to keep their grocery shopping a little more organized! If I were to offer a suggestion to Mead/OrganizHer, I would absolutely love for Organizher to create a section in the Shopping Companion for weekly meal planning, then I would say that this Shopping Companion is the total package!

I have 7 baskets that I bought from Dollar Tree in my pantry labeled with the days of the week. I put the name of the meal inside with the nonperishables needed for that meal. This way when tween and teen are hungry, they know what I need for dinners for the week and don't eat those things. Plus, all I have to do is grab the basket when making dinner that night.
ReplyDeleteWhen I go to the grocery store, I write my list before hand, and write any coupon I might be using with it, so I don't forget.
ReplyDeleteI organize my coupons by dept makes it easy
ReplyDeleteI do not typically bring my hubby or son because all they want to purchase are snacks! For me to stay on track and not go off my list...they stay home! :)
ReplyDeleteI put all my shoes in clear plastic shoe boxes and put them in order by color.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad I missed this item in Target today. I fully just looked everywhere for something like this and just missed it. Guess I will be going back. :). Thanks for the review. www.fashionistamomma.com

ReplyDeletei always sort my coupons by aisle and store for easier look through when checking out.
ReplyDeleteWhen I go shopping, I match up the coupons with the products on my list in order of the rows at each store. Yes, I go shopping alot!
ReplyDeleteI make my list by aisles and add my coupons to the items in the aisle prior to going shopping.
ReplyDeleteWhen I write my list I put a "C" next to that item to note that I have a coupon for the item.
ReplyDeletethis would be great for my wife she is always loosing her little scrap of paper she writes her lists on etc. Hope I'm lucky. Thankyou, ken pohl19@comcast.net

I used to go shopping by myself and save money, now I take my hubby, we are retired, plus it helps to have someone to unload the groceries and bring into the house, now that all my kids are grown and married. I keep a list on the refrigerator and if we run out of something it goes on the list, works for us.
ReplyDeleteI keep a marker board in my kitchen so as I go through the day/week, I can write down things as I think of them, then make my grocery list from that marker board. That way I'm not repeating anything or forgetting anything.
ReplyDeleteGreat tip from the first commenter up there! I will have to snag that idea! :)
I wish I could say I was as organized as some of these other ladies. But unfortunately I am a lost cause. I always lose coupons , forget to make a list, then half thetime forget what I was supposed to bethere for. So I truly wish I could win to be more organized and up to date on sales and everything.
ReplyDeleteI keep a bin in my kid's closets labeled Too Big for clothing items they have grown out of. When the bin is full we can put them in storage or the donate box.
ReplyDeleteI use A Penny Filled Pantry to do all the coupon match ups for me. Then I cut them before I go!
ReplyDeleteI comparison shop so I write down each store and prices for each item and oz or lbs required. I separate all these items from regular priced items. It helps checkout go much faster. Writing down what each store offers helps me pull up the ad if asked
ReplyDeleteI go through all the grocery circulars and write down what interests me. Then I go through and pick out the best deals and cross out doubles and such so I know where to shop at.
ReplyDeleteI use a sheet of paper folded up then write my list on it and store the coupons I am going to use in the folded part
ReplyDeleteI like to go to the store when I am not hungary. I buy only things that are on sale in each store I go to. I make a list of things i need in the future, not urgently so I can look for coupons.
ReplyDeleteI use the store's online web site to make my list, adding what I need to then print it out to take with me to the store. This saves so much time.
ReplyDeleteI keep all of my grocery shopping stuff together in a bag so I make sure not to forget anything I will need at the store.
ReplyDeleteI write my list in order as to dept, section of the store
ReplyDeleteDownsize...this is my biggest organizing tip. We have way less stuff than the average family of 4 because the more you have the more time you spend to clean it, organize it, etc.
ReplyDeleteI write my grocery list down in the front of my notebook, pair it with weekly sales ads and coupons. I never pay full price, everything is categorized by departments.
ReplyDeleteI use stores online ads to make sure I am getting the best price, also walmart has the price match guarantee so you save gas and time instead of running from store to store
ReplyDeleteI keep the Dillons app on my phone that way when I am shopping and want to know if I have an ecoupon for something I just use my app.
ReplyDeleteI keep a small coupon organizer in my purse for retail and restaurant coupons. This way I have them on spontaneous trips.
ReplyDeleteI keep a small coupon sorter in my purse to have easy access to restaurant and retail coupons. Sometimes those trips are not planned but I can still be prepared.
ReplyDeleteI do one load of laundry in full everyday (aside from Sunday) instead of trying to do a whole week's worth in one day.
ReplyDeleteI keep a donate box. As I find something we don't need anymore I toss it in the box and when the box is full take it to the local Salvation Army.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm on top of my game I will look up the grocery items that I want to buy organic and write a little "o" next to it on the list. That way I don't have to wonder how full of pesticides an item might be when I'm staring at in in the produce section.
ReplyDeleteI keep my list with me, including all coupons that relate. I have the rest of my coupons with me just in case!
ReplyDeleteI keep a plastic grocery bag in my car for collecting trash and I throw it away everytime I fill up gas. With a 3 year old and newborn the car can get really messy quickly.
ReplyDeleteI only clip and save coupons for products that we use. When I first started couponing I was clipping every coupon and stressing myself trying to get every deal for products we don't use.
ReplyDeleteI only clip coupons for product that we will use. I used to try and buy every deal that came along but I was stressing myself out spending to much time and money.
ReplyDeletealways write down what is needed & always bring list with me
ReplyDeleteI meal plan. It cuts down on not buying so much extra, then I organize the Cans in our food closet by which meal they go with. The fridge is where I find it hard to organize!
ReplyDeleteKeep a shelf dedicated for leftovers in the fridge. That way when you are looking for something to eat you can finish that up first so it doesn't go to waste.
ReplyDeletewe have a white board that we keep track of bills, apointments, shopping needs ect on.
ReplyDeleteI leave my husband & son at home so they don't add everything that they see!
ReplyDeleteI organize my coupons by category.
ReplyDeleteBefore I go into a store, I clothespin together my coupons that I want to use for that store.
ReplyDeleteI like to put a star next to an item on my grocery list if I will be using a coupon for that item. This helps remind me to give my coupons to the cashier. There's nothing worse than getting home and realizing I forgot to use them!
ReplyDeleteWe also have a whiteboard in our kitchen entry where we place bills, keep track of our schedule, etc. I also use a planner but my husband isn't a planner person so it helps for him to know what is going on.
ReplyDeleteI always keep coupons in my car for restaurants so they are always with us when we're out running around and want to get a bite to eat.
ReplyDeleteI have young kid's so instead of trying to put broken crayons back in the box etc. we keep them all in a baby wipes tub.
ReplyDeletei rotate y coupons old in the front to make sure i use them up before there no good
ReplyDeleteI use an excel spreadsheet for my shopping list. It is broken down by department and has notes such as (Coupons). Then I organize my coupons by the list.
ReplyDeleteOrganize your clothes by outfit in your closet.
ReplyDeleteI think a big tip is always return things to where they were. I mean, it's easy to become quickly disorganized when you don't.

I organize my coupons by aisle in the grocery store so I know what I'm getting when I go down an aisle.
