Create New Memories with Little Miss Do-It-Yourself

*Mommys Craft Obsession has been compensated to promote Little Miss Do-It-Yourself. All of my thoughts and opinions are my own.

I think it's safe to say that most little girls play with dolls. When I was little, I use to be obsessed with my dolls and playing with my doll house- I absolutely loved them! Although I loved my doll house, looking back I wish that my doll house would have been wooden rather than plastic, but hey, nothing I can do now right? One day when I have a daughter (assuming I do have a little girl), one of the things on my list of must have's for her is a wooden doll house with wooden doll furniture. Thanks to Little Miss Do-It-Yourself I will be able to allow my *future* little girl to have wooden doll furniture, but we will also have the opportunity to create memories by DIYing the furniture together!

Little Miss Do-It-Yourself is based out of Utah and was founded in 2012 by a dad named Mike who was searching for wooden doll furniture for his children, and was disappointed when he couldn't find any that he liked in terms of appearance and quality. Mike owned his own fabrication equipment, so he teamed up with his designer and came up with designs for his children's wooden furniture that they could fabricate using the equipment on hand. When the designs were ready to go, Mike and his children painted and built the furniture together, then posted it on his personal Facebook to show off to his friends and family. The response from his friends and family was overwhelming- everyone wanted him to build them their own set of furniture for their kids! Seeing the demand for their unique products, Little Miss Do-It-Yourself was born.

The main idea behind Little Miss Do-It-Yourself is for families to come together to spend time and create their new doll furniture. The furniture comes unfinished so that children and parents can work together as a team to decide how they paint or stain their furniture so that it is unique to their own doll house! The furniture comes with easy to follow instructions in case you need help putting it together. In addition to DIY doll furniture, Little Miss Do-It-Yourself also offers doll house accessories for the furniture such as pillows and bedding!

  7. I love the amount of detail on the furniture. I also like that I can paint or stain the furniture myself to match whatever decor we choose.
