It's Day 22 of Strolling Into Spring and today we have an amazing review and giveaway for you baby wearing momma's out there! If you are not currently baby wearing, just wait, you'll want to after you see how amazing the Boba Organic Carrier is!
*Boba supplied me with an Organic Carrier for review in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions
Boba began when two parents decided to leave their hometown of Bolder, CO, and travel the world with their two kids in tow. They took off with only a few personal belongings, a few thousand dollars, two backpacks, two kids, and a dream. They wanted to live their lives and experience freedom together.
With an amazing idea and determination, the first Boba Wrap was sold out of rural Slovenia and before long the company had taken off. Starting the business was no easy task as the adventurous couple behind Boba traveled the world, but they made it happen and before long Boba turned into a well known and extremely popular brand of baby carriers.I was lucky enough to have the option of deciding which Boba carrierwould fit my needs (and of course Baby A's) the best and I decided to go with the Organic Carrier in Chestnut. I loved the colors and I was so excited to see how soft the carrier was! Okay guys, I have a confession to make.... I never thought I could love another baby carrier like I loved my Ergo. Now that I am the proud owner of a Boba, I can wholeheartedly say that the Boba Organic Carrier blows my other carrier out of the water! The Boba includes so many features that my other carrier does not and feels amazing while you're wearing it!
The Boba has two buckles for support and stability while you are baby wearing. The waist buckle is the largest buckle because the section around your waist is what holds and supports your little one the most while you're wearing them. What I love about the Boba is that you attach the buckle in the center rather than to the side, and each side of the buckle has adjustable straps for you to pull while you have the carrier on to make it as form fitting as possible and add that extra safety to the carrier. With the buckle being in the center and the straps being adjustable on both sides I feel like I can get it snug around my waist and have that extra peace of mind that Baby A really isn't going anywhere while he's riding kangaroo style!
The second buckle on the Boba carrier is the buckle that you attach around mid shoulder blades. I always find the back straps to be the most difficult to buckle on any baby carrier, but the Boba makes it easy with the height adjustment of the buckle. If you take a look at the middle photo below, the strap easily slides up or down depending on what is the most comfortable for your height. I LOVE this feature and think that it is absolutely genius! You can also adjust your Boba's shoulder straps to fit your body perfectly to ensure that the straps won't fall to the side while you're wearing your little one. You can also use those side straps to loosen one (or both) shoulder straps so that you are able to breastfeed while your child is in the carrier.
The Boba Carrier comes with a sleep hood which is great for little ones who fall asleep and need some extra shade and/or privacy. The hood has straps that attach to snaps that are conveniently located on top of your shoulder straps making it so that the hood is extended above their heads. The sleep hood is also adjustable so it can fit your little one whether they are a tiny infant or a big ol' toddler like Baby A!
Okay so I know some of you may be thinking "we're never going to use the hood", well guess what? The hood is removable! Baby A is not a fan of hoods or hats so I knew that the hood would have to go into safe keeping until we decide to have another baby down the road. You can remove the sleep hood by unsnapping it from the hood pocket. Once you've removed it you then have a convenient and fairly large pocket to store your belongings in such as your credit cards/cash!
There are two other pockets if you decided to bring some items with you and not take a diaper bag, you can easily store your cell phone or keys in the open front pocket, and there is also a small zippered pocked located on the side of the sleep hood pocket which is the perfect size for chap stick, a pack of gum, or whatever else you may need for on the go!
My absolute favorite feature of the Boba is the foot straps. Your little one will no longer feel like their legs are dangling in mid air thanks to the optional foot straps that attach to your Boba! There is a hidden foot strap attachment and you literally just thread the strap through the attachment and snap it onto the proper size. The foot strap has several snaps to accommodate your growing child's height! This is such a simple addition that honestly should be offered with every carrier, kudos to Boba for thinking of it!
The Boba Organic Carrier is my new best friend, it is so comfortable to wear and is extremely soft. I love that the straps have padding but they aren't so padded where they feel bulky. I love that the straps all buckle in the middle and each strap is adjustable to ensure that your carrier fits you perfectly. Baby A loves to be in the carrier and I love that my back never gets sore and that we are both always comfortable while using the Boba!

I would wear it for walks, at the mall, when I need to get stuff done around the house and can't put the baby down! On trips so I don't have to take a car seat everywhere! I would love to have one! I tried a sling and my 7 week old wouldn't use it! So I need something else to try, and this boba 3G carrier looks amazing!

With my last child I would baby wear to the park when I take my two older children, to museums, on hikes, and pretty much anywhere we go out as a family. I rarely used a stroller as this was just more convenient and my baby preferred me to carry him too. I would love to try a 3G with this baby!
ReplyDeletei baby wear with both my girls and im planning with my son in may we always take family trips so i plan on using it then
ReplyDeletebonnie r
I have worn my babies everywhere...home, shopping, park...but my Bjorn kills my back after about 5 weeks old. Would love to try the Boba!!

ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to wear baby at the park, while my older two are playing.
ReplyDeleteI currently do not baby wear as I am pregnant with our first baby...BUT I am so excited to baby wear EVERYWHERE...shopping, out for walks, family gatherings! I am most excited about the Boba! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI baby wear pretty much everywhere because my lo loves to be held all the time but I need my hands free to take care of my other two kids! The sling I have now is murder on my back and shoulders though, so I would love to have a Boba!
ReplyDeleteI baby wear wherever they do not have shopping carts or where it is not convenient to take a stroller. Especially in crowded places.
ReplyDeleteI find myself baby-wearing at the grocery store or on walks through the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteHome Depot, grocery store, library, local festivals/markets, and WDW
ReplyDeleteI could see myself baby wearing at the grocery store but mostly I would love to baby wear my 6 week old son while I take my 2 yr old daughter to play at the park!
ReplyDeleteI babywear EVERYWHERE~ At the store, at home, walking the dog, home schooling my oldest, and anywhere between!

ReplyDeleteI'd want to wear babygirl every where I could! There's lots of places in walking distance I could see us getting errands done.

ReplyDeleteMy baby boy and I would LOVE to have this!
ReplyDeleteI wear my daughter at the grocery store, and while we travel. It is so much easier to wear her than to have a stroller at the airport :).
ReplyDeleteMy baby arrives in June, and I can imagine wearing the baby on walks around the neighborhood, to the local farmers market, and to choir practice!
ReplyDeleteI use my sling right now for my 5-month old when she is fussy and wants to be held but Momma needs her hands free!
ReplyDeleteI don't have baby wear any more, we got rid of it after our 4th child thinking we were done, though we were blessed with one more :) I would wear my baby Everywhere! Dr.s, Shopping, Play Group, Walking, you name it.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to wear my new baby as much as possible - at home, in the neighborhood, shopping, visiting friends, and whenever I and my husband can.
ReplyDeleteThrify Nifty Mommy sent me to tell you tell you that wear I would be wearing. Actually I would be giving to my daughter to use and she would wear it everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI would love to start wearing baby while I grocery shop. She's too little to sit in the cart and her seat takes up too much room in the back of the cart to get much else in there. It would save me a lot of hassle!
ReplyDeletei always end up babywearing (or wishing i was!!) on hikes- no matter how much energy the munchkin has he wants milkie breaks & snuggles along the way! :) thanks so much for the fantastic giveaway!!!

ReplyDeleteI just recently wore my baby most of the day at the zoo! I also wear him while shopping and cleaning house!
ReplyDeleteI was wearing my daughter everywhere up until she could walk. Even then she loved the Mei Tai for shopping, blueberry picking, & going for walks!
ReplyDeleteI used a sling and Mei Tai for babywearing till it hurt my back and shoulder... but I'd always wear lil' guy for walks and around the house during chores!
ReplyDeleteI'm about to have a second little one (17 months after I had my first!) and I KNOW I will be wearing baby EVERYWHERE while running after my crazy toddler! I had a lot of success with the Moby wrap the first time, but I think I'm going to need something a little less involved this time around. My toddler won't want to wait around for me to get wrapped up every time we go the the store :)
ReplyDeleteWe are going to have a baby, so I would love to wear them whenever possible. Walking, grocery shopping and also, we travel a lot. This would be helpful. Thanks for the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the great review! I love my boba!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the review. I have been having the hardest time deciding what carrier to get. I think you've helped me make up my mind!
ReplyDeleteI love this carrier! It seems like it would be perfect! I like that the Boba has two buckles for support and stability because I have back problems and NEED this extra support. I also really like that it has a hood! I know some people wouldn't care, but it gets so windy and cold and this would really make me feel like my little one was protected against the weather, sometimes a hat just doesn't cut it!
ReplyDeleteThis would be perfect! I also recommend getting a RoSK WooBee Plush! It's a super soft blanket that ties onto the baby carrier to keep your little one comfy and warm! And one side (the non plush side) is weather proof too!
